Choose a content type
Reels are the most downloaded content on Instagram. Copy the Reel link via “⋯” → “Copy Link” and paste it above, and it’s saved as an MP4 with sound and no watermark.
Stories disappear after 24 hours, so it’s worth saving them before then. Copy a Story link from a public account and paste it here to save the video or photo.

After downloading from Instagram
In Safari, a downloads arrow (⬇) appears next to the address bar once the download finishes. Tap it, then tap the file name, and from the Share button choose “Save Video” (or “Save Image”) to move it into the Photos app. To save straight to your camera roll and skip this step, use the QuickSave Shortcut for iPhone.
The file is saved to your Downloads folder and shows up in your Gallery within seconds. If it doesn't, open the Files app → Downloads. The QuickSave Android app saves to your Gallery in one tap.
The file is saved to your Downloads folder on Windows and Mac. Videos are MP4 and photos are JPG, so they work with any player or editing software.

If the link doesn’t work
Make sure you copied the link to the post itself via “⋯” → “Copy Link”, not the link to the profile. A correct link contains /reel/, /p/ or /stories/.
Posts from private accounts can’t be downloaded; QuickSave only works with public content, out of respect for the owners’ privacy.
Instagram itself mutes the music on some Reels because of copyright in your country, so the file arrives exactly as Instagram serves it. Try another clip to check.
Stories are removed automatically 24 hours after posting, unless the owner adds them to a Highlight.
