Download Instagram Videos on iPhone

Method 1: Straight from Safari — no app needed

Open the Reel or video on Instagram, tap “⋯” and then “Copy Link”. Open this page in Safari, paste the link into the box above and tap “Download”. When the download finishes, tap the downloads arrow (⬇) next to the address bar, open the file, then tap Share → “Save Video”.

Method 2: The QuickSave Shortcut — the fastest

Add the QuickSave Shortcut to the Shortcuts app once. After that, on any Instagram Reel tap “Share” and choose QuickSave, and the video saves straight to Photos without opening any website and with no watermark. The same shortcut also works with TikTok, YouTube and Twitter.

Method 3: The Telegram bot

If you have Telegram installed, send the Reel link to the QuickSave bot and the video arrives in the chat. From there, long-press it → “Save” to add it to Photos.

1. Open your downloads

Tap the downloads arrow (⬇) in the Safari toolbar, or open the Files app → Downloads.

2. Open the video

Tap the file name to open it in the preview.

3. Save it to Photos

Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow), then “Save Video”. You’ll now find it in the Photos app with the rest of your videos. Photos are saved the same way with “Save Image”.

Safari plays the video instead of downloading it

Long-press the save button and choose “Download Linked File”, or use the Shortcut, which skips this step.

The Shortcut asks for permission

On first run, your iPhone asks whether the shortcut may connect to quicksave.my and save to Photos. Choose “Always Allow” once.

There’s no “Save Video” option

Make sure the download finished (the file is an MP4) and that your iPhone has enough free space.

While viewing the video in your browser, type quicksave.my/ in front of the link in the address bar and press Enter — QuickSave opens with the link ready to download:

This works on desktop and mobile with links from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), Facebook, Snapchat and Pinterest.
