After downloading a YouTube video
In Safari, a downloads arrow (⬇) appears next to the address bar when the download finishes. Tap it, tap the file name, then choose “Save Video” (or “Save Image”) from the Share button to move it to the Photos app. To save straight to your camera roll without this step, use the QuickSave iPhone Shortcut.

If the link doesn’t work
Private videos, age-restricted videos and some protected videos can’t be downloaded.
A stream that’s still live can’t be downloaded; wait until it ends and becomes a regular video.
Long videos take longer to prepare; for lectures, downloading the MP3 audio is usually enough, since it’s much smaller.
